Lime Rock Resources Promotes Jonathan Hickman to Chief Operating Officer

Houston, Texas — November 4, 2024 — Lime Rock Resources (“Lime Rock”), a Houston-based energy private equity firm focused on acquiring, operating, and improving producing oil and gas properties in the United States, is pleased to announce the promotion of Jonathan Hickman to Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Hickman previously served as Executive Vice President, Reserves and Land.

In his new role, Mr. Hickman will lead the firm’s capital projects, land management, and geological initiatives across all Lime Rock Resources funds. With over 20 years of experience in petroleum engineering, operations, and acquisitions, Mr. Hickman brings deep technical expertise and institutional knowledge to his new position.

Mr. Hickman joined Lime Rock Resources in 2006 as a Reservoir Engineer and has since held a range of senior roles including Asset Manager for the Permian Region, Director of Acquisitions and Divestitures, Chief Engineer, and Executive Vice President, Reserves and Land. His work has spanned acquisition engineering analysis, drilling strategy, and reserve evaluation, directly contributing to the firm’s strong performance and disciplined investment approach.

Prior to joining Lime Rock, Mr. Hickman held engineering roles at ExxonMobil, where he worked in both production and reservoir engineering. He holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
