Lime Rock Resources Closes on $340 Million Continuation Vehicle

Houston, Texas — August 31, 2026 — Lime Rock Resources (“Lime Rock”), an energy private equity firm focused on acquiring, operating and improving producing oil and gas properties across the United States, announced today the successful closing of a continuation vehicle transaction representing $340 million in aggregate transaction value for the remaining assets of Lime Rock Resources Fund III (“Fund III”).

The transaction gave existing Fund III investors the option to receive liquidity or continue their investment through a newly formed continuation vehicle (the “Continuation Vehicle”). The Continuation Vehicle holds a diversified portfolio of oil and gas properties located entirely in the Bakken, the majority of which are operated by Lime Rock.

Vintage Strategies at Goldman Sachs Alternatives was the lead investor to anchor the Continuation Vehicle. The transaction generated significant interest from both existing and new investors, with syndication demand exceeding available capacity.

“This transaction represents an attractive outcome for our Fund III investors and positions us to continue creating value across a portfolio we know extremely well,” said Eric Mullins, Co-Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lime Rock Resources. “We are pleased to expand our longstanding relationship with Goldman Sachs and to welcome new institutional investors to Lime Rock. The breadth of investor interest and strength of syndication demand reinforce our conviction in the quality of these assets and their continued potential.”

“We know these assets extremely well and believe they continue to offer attractive opportunities for further value creation,” said Jonathan Hickman, Chief Operating Officer of Lime Rock Resources. “Our significant operated position gives us the ability to directly manage development and capital allocation across much of the portfolio, while our non-operated interests provide additional exposure to what we believe is high-quality development activity in the basin. The Continuation Vehicle gives us the time and flexibility to continue executing that strategy.”

Perella Weinberg Partners served as financial advisor on the transaction. Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP served as legal advisor to Lime Rock.
