Houston, Texas — December 31, 2024 — Lime Rock Resources (“Lime Rock”), a Houston-based energy private equity firm focused on acquiring, operating, and improving producing oil and gas properties in the United States, announced the retirement of Tim Miller, President and Chief Operating Officer, effective at the end of this week. Tim’s retirement marks the culmination of a remarkable 20-year tenure at Lime Rock Resources and more than four decades of impactful contributions to the oil and gas industry.
Tim Miller joined Lime Rock Resources in May 2005 and quickly became a cornerstone of the firm’s leadership. Over the past two decades, he played an instrumental role in shaping the company’s operational strategy, executing successful acquisitions and development programs, and helping transform Lime Rock Resources into a respected firm in the energy investment sector. Tim was also critical in building out Lime Rock’s technical team, bringing together exceptional engineers, geologists, and land professionals whose collective expertise has been a key driver of the firm’s success. His focus on disciplined execution and operational excellence laid the foundation for Lime Rock’s growth across multiple funds and basins.
Before joining Lime Rock, Tim began his career as a Petroleum Engineer at Petro-Lewis Corporation, one of the pioneering energy investment companies of its time. He later served as a Development Engineer at Coastal Oil & Gas Corporation (now El Paso Production), where he gained extensive experience in development planning and field operations. This early technical background shaped the leadership style and operating rigor he brought to Lime Rock Resources.
