Pursuing a sustainable investment strategy
We believe that our ESG commitment creates value for our investors and supports a sustainable long-term strategy for our funds. In addition, our approach to ESG issues within our investment portfolio benefits the communities where we invest and work—and our world overall. We consider the implementation of ESG practices to be an important part of our investment process, as well as our responsibility to act with the highest standards for integrity and ethics.
Our ESG strategy
To define and implement our ESG strategy, we have established a dedicated ESG team that convenes regularly. That strategy focuses on four key areas:
Emissions Tracking & Reduction
Lime Rock Resources accurately monitors and measures emissions using forward-looking infrared (FLIR) cameras and light detection and ranging (LIDAR) systems. We are committed to meeting or exceeding regulatory standards, and to mitigating the usage of emissions-generating fuels where possible.
Spill Prevention
Lime Rock Resources has spill prevention, control, and countermeasure plans in place for all active locations, and we benchmark our performance against other operators. To protect against equipment failures, we maintain a proactive facility repair and replacement program.
Plugging & Abandonment
Lime Rock Resources responsibly plugs and abandons wells at the end of production operations, meeting or exceeding regulatory requirements. We are committed to returning leases to our landowner partners in excellent condition, and to passing on clean assets at divestiture.
Flaring Reduction
Lime Rock Resources is actively reducing flaring at our well sites, and we incorporate this initiative into our asset underwriting process. We measure our progress by tracking flaring activities across all operating areas.
